This is a series of quests that should reset every day at oracle o'clock. The purpose is to give a daily slight boost in cash a bit over what you'd get just from grinding, while also giving people a reason to revisit all of the different AI levels. Additionally, it gives some slightly different "game modes" on a repeatable basis.
My preference for this on an interface level would be to either have a little Colosseum icon off to the side in the quests page, taking you to a list of the four events and allowing you to choose (which seems like a better way to handle this thematically than having the standard dots-on-a-map). Alternately, just a button alongside the Quests button for "Colosseum" and keeping them completely separate from quests, since as Fippe noted, they're different.
Here's the four events I'm thinking of:
-Novice Endurance: Fight 3 commoners in a row without healing in between. If you lose, you can try again until you win. One win allowed per day. Reward for defeating all three in a row: flat 75 gold, nothing else (which is the cash reward you'd get from EM'ing 3 commoners, minus winning cards, plus 30 gold)
-Expert Endurance: Fight 3 champions in a row, but fully heal between each match. Able to be retried until you win, just like novice. Reward for defeating all three: flat 200 gold, nothing else (which is the cash reward you'd get from EM'ing 3 champs, minus winning (possibly upped) cards, plus 80 gold)
-Novice Duel: Fight one mage, which is shown on the event select screen before starting the battle (allowing you to choose a prediction deck if you'd like). Only one attempt is allowed per day, win or lose. Provides standard mage drops (i.e. cash reward plus card from deck) plus 30 extra gold.
-Expert Duel: Fight one demigod, which is predicted before the battle as in novice. Only one attempt allowed per day, win or lose. Provides standard demigod drops plus 100 extra gold.
