Durable enough to soak up raw attacks from fire decks, it can also pull off both swarm or heavy hitter tactics (gotta love those deployers). SoFo oppresses shields and weapons. Defenders and otyughs can provide amazing CC if used well. Thanks to GP now affecting weapon attacks, you get protection from (almost) everything. Remember to feed and care for your deployers carefully, they are the late game rampup that can let you (usually) overcome stall tactics. GP goes onto SoFo early game. Otyughs provide good CC until late game at which point you can get a Defender buffed up enough to clobber anything that comes out (I've grown defenders to over 20|30) In a pinch, GP can take down large single enemy threats, but its better to reserve it for SoFo and Defenders.

I've been using this against mages lately 077440574504746047470775m0374i018pl It can beat champions too, but the matches are much closer, making the amount of gold won similar (and the matches are longer). It has the advantage of only using commons, so the upgrades are faster to obtain.
