From looking at the card count stats thread I noticed that "Other" has no creatures. I remembered a few good ones that got put up a while back but fizzeled when voting activity dropped off just before CI&A curation began slowing down... I think this one deserves a second chance (Cudos to ARATHASIOS for making it). Here is my best attempt to recreate the EtG card image: EtG's CI&A topic link: elementscommunity.org/forum/forge-archive/forgotten-soldier-forgotten-knight/The card art link seems to be broken on the EtG Page... I am working from the art link listed on the card table, but I think the art was recolored (desaturated) to fit type "Other" background. Here is the image from the link that was provided:

Looks pretty cool, but seems a bit too weak maybe?

I think a design theory thread needs to be had for a discussion of what colorless creatures should be (& whether they should be) before any are added
Either way, this is OP: Fractal knight -> Cremate something -> kill stuff & gain a bunch of fire quanta -> bolt/fahrenheit/fractix

Stat wise, they are not that tough. 1 colorless for a 1|1 is less cost effective than a spark or photon. Even compared to most quanta producing creatures its not all that great in terms of stat efficiency.
I think the combo of the 2 abilities may put it into the OP side... Basically its letting you convert 1 chroma to 1 pillar of your mark and deal 1 or 2 damage to a target.
Smite seems innocuous enough on its own since you need another element to really do much with it. The fractal combo is potent as a CC, but mass CC will wipe it out easily (one good dry spell and POOF no more soldiers!). Mitosis could provide a nice steady stream of damage, but again is vulnerable to CC.
Alternately, if it only turned into a pillar upon death, then it would force the card to combo with some form of sacrifice or self-CC to be effective.
As long as it doesn't do both, I think it may work out.
I do agree that a design theory thread would be good to discuss possible role's and uses of chroma creatures.
